Each year The Southwest Georgia Auburn Club holds a fundraising dinner to honor the memory of Cleve Wester. The dinner was first held in 2009 and raises funds to endow The Cleve Wester Scholarship.

Current and former coaches come together with alumni and Auburn fans to honor Cleve Wester's memory. Wester was an offensive tackle on Auburn's 1957 National Championship team . The owner of Cleve Wester's Tire mart, he was one of the most beloved and respected business leaders in Albany. His loyalty to Auburn was legendary. Former Auburn football coach Pat Dye was quoted in The Albany Herald saying "If you don't like Cleve Wester, you need to go look in the mirror because it's you, it ain't Cleve Wester because he stands for all the right things."
